Everyone can reduce their carbon footprint

CF-Partner-2014-Final

in2aqua has invested in the Acre, Brazil REDD+ Forestry Projects (Russas, Valparaiso and Purus) seek to help protect and conserve tropical forests by providing payments for ecosystem services.  This type of project is known as a Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation project (REDD project).  Project activities intended to reduce deforestation are implemented in and around privately-owned properties in the State of Acre, Brazil and are funded by payments related to emission reduction credits generated by the projects. Project development involved meeting with the local communities surrounding the project area, engaging Acre state officials working on similar strategies at a regional/state level, developing a plan which will result in lowering the pressure on land and forest resources in consultation with the local community, and putting into operation the REDD project implementation plan.

In addition to providing a wide-range of ecosystem services such as preserving wildlife habitat, there are numerous social projects and activities designed that include providing local communities with agricultural extension training, building a local health clinic, improving the local school, and eventually building better houses and installing solar photovoltaic panels for the local communities to improve their livelihoods.

Have you heard of the pump run?

IMG_4138-2At in2aqua we share a profound passion and respect for water – and we also share a profound passion for sports.

That is why today we want to promote an event for a good cause: The 6th annual Water to Thrive 5K and Kids’ K.The Pump Run – Sponsored by HEB which will take place on Saturday, Nov. 15 at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, TX (by the Dell Diamond).

On this day Water to Thrive, an Austin-based nonprofit bringing, raises money for clean water for Africa. In2aqua supports the non-profit organization and helps to build wells in Africa. (in2aqua – Build a Well)

Build a Well – Our vision

Tanzania

At in2aqua we share a profound passion and respect for water and the impact it can have on people – this is why we also support water initiatives.

One of the biggest challenges on earth is to make sure, that every human being has access to clean and safe water. 800 Million people across the globe don’t have access to clean water and 5 life threatening diseases, on average, are contained in unsafe water (UNICEF).

In2aqua has made bringing water resources to drought ridden areas one of its goals. By building wells closer to the people who are in need, the time women and children spend to collect water can be reduced significantly. This enables the women to take better care of their families and the children will have more time to go to school.

In this blog we will keep you informed about the progress of the projects we have undertaken: Our first Well, which will be built in Uganda as well as our Rain Harvesting Project in Tanzania.

We hope you will enjoy the stories!

Stuttgart: home to in2aqua

Stuttgart

For many people Stuttgart is known as one of Europe’s most important industrial centers. Global corporations such as Daimler, Porsche and Bosch are situated in and around the city. Famous soccer players, Sami Khedira and Jürgen Klinsmann for example, were born in and close to Stuttgart and started their career here, too. In2aqua has its headquarters in Stuttgart as well.

Many readers who have an interest in Stuttgart know this already. That is why, in this blog, we would like to represent the cities around the world, where our products are designed, developed and produced, from a different angle. Starting with Stuttgart today, telling you about a little festivity.

A few days ago, Stuttgart’s summer festival just happened to be celebrated right in front of our office in the King’s Palace.  Often, the atmosphere of a city during a celebration tells us much more about its character then its sheer economic power. People in Stuttgart love food, enjoy good music, they like to spend the hours after work together with friends and family and they can be very relaxed – that is what we have learned about this typically very busy city. People of all kinds enjoy the summer in the city during festivities like this.

If you have the chance to visit Stuttgart in the summer, don’t miss it!
